Aurora:
In a world where love had to be earned I would never be good enough. I was the black sheep in the family, the witch without magic.

While my sister excelled in every type of way I had to suffer in silence, tormented by the people I should have been able to trust most.

Having grown up with a deadly plague known as the Ghostly ravaging our kingdom, my main goal has always been to join the Special Forces to fight back.

But in a cruel twist of fate I have to enter an academy - a safe ticket to the special forces- as a maid while my sister joins as a student.

But finally after an eternity of hell there was a slight chance I could join the special forces and even if taking that chance meant being tormented by a handsome yet rude dragonshifter called Ronan I would gladly take it.

________________________________________

The more Aurora gets to know Ronan, the more the pieces of their past begin to fall into place-memories of a fateful encounter that should've never happened.

And as their bond deepens, so does the mystery of the Ghostly, the ancient forces they're up against, and the secrets they both carry.

In a world where power and loyalty are everything, Aurora must fight not just for survival-but for the truth that could change everything

He walks forward, pressing the blade into his throat. His skin is taunt against the serrated edge, and blood beads around it until it drips down his neck in a crimson trail. My eyes widened, wanting it. He is looking at me with those dangerous, glinting green eyes, daring me. "Kill me, then. If you feel nothing, you can kill me. Then you can leave. The choice is up to you. It always has been," He whispers. His words leave me as cold as the blade at his throat. My heart is subjected to this stabbing pain, like I'd turned the knife on myself, and I would rather it be like that. "But if you don't," he whispers," you are mine and all mine. We will rule the dawn of a new age, we will complete our bond, and you will forget about her. Make your choice." I can hear my heart beat in my ears, and I swallow agaisnt the rush. These are my options. Kill him, or agree to be his. I make my own choice. I can not take my freedom away. I can not be the mate he wants, but I can not kill him. With a deep breath, I turn the knife on myself. Aurora, a girl with only one name and abandoned at birth in a war torn land, finds herself lost in a sea of witches, drowning in everything she can never have. Or so she thinks, the night a divine interference rips her from her home leads to a butterfly effect of deadly, chaotic spirals. Something dwells in the unknown shadows of Aurora's soul, something lurking just behind the screen of consciousness, something passed down through the generations as greater beings try to avoid the annihilation of our world. Is she just another part of the fall out, another victim to an unending tragedy between two cosmic beings? There's only one thing that can help her, and it stands before her in the form of a green eyed werewolf mercilessly killing the witches she's grown up loving. She thinks he can protect her, but what will she do when he needs protection...from her? #12 in destruction #11 in strife

Aurora Eloise Sanderson seemed like an ordinary witch-but how normal could life be when your best friends were Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley? How normal could it be when your magic refused to follow the rules? And how normal could it be when you were hopelessly in love with Fred Weasley? From the moment she set foot in Hogwarts, Aurora was different. Spells bent to her will without incantations, barriers formed before she even realized she needed them, and raw magic pulsed in her veins-alive, untamed, and unlike anything the world had seen before. "Albus, I've never seen a student like her... Her magic doesn't just follow spells-it follows her." "This girl, Minerva, is instinctive magic incarnate. She still has much to learn, but one day, she will do great things." Through the years, she stood by Harry, facing the rising darkness together. But her greatest battle wasn't the war-it was Fred Weasley. She loved him, but no matter how close they became, he never truly let her in. "I'm done breaking my own heart over and over again." "Aurie,-." "No safe it. I can't do this anymore. I'm done trying and hoping for something that might never happen." She hated how much she ached for someone who was just out of reach. "I miss him, and that's pathetic. I miss someone who isn't mine, dream about someone who isn't mine, and love someone who isn't mine." But magic, like love, could not be forced or tamed. And whether Fred realized it or not, he had already become part of the magic within her. "After all this time, it's always been you... and I don't think it can ever be anyone else."

Everyone she knew and cared about was murdered in a twisted idea of fun, she was the only survivor. Quickly dumped into a world of supernatural Aurora must find her place despite the fact a possessive werewolf seems to want to tell her what to do. Can she adjust or will she crumble under the pressure? Excerpt: The screams and cries for help faded while silent tears continued to stream down her face. Her hands were slapped over her mouth to muffle any noise that escaped her quivering lips. She wasn't sure how long she was in that pantry but couldn't come out until she was beyond certain that they had left. For a moment, she started to have hope that maybe they wouldn't be able to find her, but a voice spoke up, and fear flooded in once again. "You cleared out the upstairs, too, right?" "Yeah." Another voice responded. There was a slight pause, "Hmm. Then where is that heartbeat coming from, I wonder." His voice had a sickening amusement to it, and her heart rate uncontrollably spiked with the adrenaline pumped through her veins. Was he talking about her? The thought that he could hear her heartbeat was crazy. It just wasn't humanly possible. Footsteps grew closer to the kitchen. Somehow, they had found her. She said one last prayer and goodbye to her life as the pantry opened. "Boo." The man yelled, peering in at her. She was frozen. There was nothing more she could do. She was going to die. "Little Birdy," he stretched out his hand, "come out to play."
