The thought that he could hear her heartbeat was crazy. It just wasn't humanly possible. Footsteps grew closer to the kitchen. Somehow, they had found her. She said one last prayer and goodbye to her life as the pantry opened. "Boo." The man yelled, peering in at her. She was frozen. There was nothing more she could do. She was going to die.
