Phobos has moved to Curious. Earth was devastated by an artificial intelligence (A.I) powered war between fighting hegemonic powers. Only 10% of humans survived. They created an autonomous technocracy, free of ancient thinking like religion and traditional government and made a self contained environment above the ruins of civilization. But in the shadows, unbeknownst to humans, they were being manipulated by an all seeing and all knowing survivor of the war. Only Ordnajela's knowledge, an anarchist computer scientist, could spark a new war to uncover the truth and restore humanity at any cost.
The Hawaiian Special Forces
This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. In 3013 a missile hit in southern america, it contained an unknown virus that has spread like wildfire and infected 60% of America, Mexico, and Canadas citizens as a whole. The USA has contained all healthy citizens from the sick ones. The government has convinced everyone that the outside world is a very dangerous place. But is it true? Everyone has their doubts. And the government heads on a downward spiral when Jr. Soldiers Gale Mathesin and Vala Mininger set out to save their city from being overrun with the sickness. But will there be a bump in the road of their 'perfect' plan? No inside citizens has ever seen the outside world. They need to find a new place to settle their citizens before the sickness overruns them all. As far as the rest of the world knows, all of North America is sick or dead. So where do they have to go?
