Kaid Al-Yami changed the Continent forever with the Time Paradox: the reversal of exactly twenty-four minutes to save the woman he loves. Two years later, it is Empress Jessamine Kruzika who is picking up the pieces and handling the Paradox's consequences. A religious war appears to be on the horizon in Uhkhtar as the district regathers its newfound strength from the North. However, a new power arises in the east called Pestilence: someone out there is forcibly removing Oblivion from everyone who possesses it. Jessamine's ambition to mend the relationships between Empires and quell fears of Oblivion places her in the spotlight once more as a political threat. As much as Kaid can try to avoid both his revoked duty and love for his Empress, he must insert himself back into her life to keep her safe, while also answering for his crimes. With new threats on the rise, is their love powerful enough to overcome their wounds of betrayal and broken promises?

AVAILABLE ON AMAZON & KINDLE On the planet Keodis, upon the western continent, Uestron, inside the Raesifiin Empire, in the small naval city of Cyripo, the story begins when thirteen diverse strangers answer a strange pamphlet to a quest. The quest is to find a powerful gem in the Deep Forest, and then to use what powers it bestowed on them to delve into the Mountain Barrier. There, they will have to find the Light to dispel the growing Darkness within. Though this qest is honorable and righteous, the dangers that await them are exponentially worse than they could ever imagine. Whether they can save the world depends on whether they can survive themselves. Mature rating for blood, gore and depictions of violence. TW: mentions of drunkards and beer, mention of physical abuses, a description of trypophobia, claustrophobia, and other phobias, and descriptions of nasty cryptids. There is no depictions or allusions of sex, no f-bombs, or drug abuse. This story was started when I was in seventh grade. I finished the original when I was a senior in high school. Displeased with the finished product, I began to rewrite it here, starting June 2015, then again in 2020. I am quite satisfied with the result, and am sure this will be the final edition. This isn't the first book of the series, but there's no spoilers for 'The World is Larger than it Seems', so you can start on this one. The story is far from finished, however, and I hope to eventually finish the series.
