The World Torn in Two

Isabella Rodriguez was just a normal college student. Well, as normal as she could be in a world torn in two. See, in her world, there are Humans, and there are Animal Shifters who can turn into different animals. They're stronger and faster than humans. Hundreds of years ago, there was a war, that ended in the west of the world being given to the Humans and the east to the Shifters. Part of the peace negotiations at the end of the war was that annually, two humans, one chosen by the powerful Shifters and the other a companion that they got to choose themselves, would enter the east and find the 'Book of Peace'. If they found it, they got to go home alive, if they didn't then they were dead. All Shifters would hunt them down during the time they'd be there. They'd get as much time as they'd need to find the book. This time, its Isabella's turn. Now, along with her best friend (and crush) Gabriel Parker, she's going on an adventure. She just hopes she'll live.
