Until one day his dad came home and broke the devastating news that he'd lost his job. Things weren't terrible and they weren't running out of money but things definitely weren't the same as before. His parents thought for days about what they should do about it until his parents decided to temporarily house an exchange student from Puerto Rico. There was only one problem. He was probably the finest but most annoying Puerto Rican Malik had ever met. His only goal was to focus on basketball but now this mf had to come and mess it all up...

The boy was tall and handsome, everything that fed to Austin's desires and before he knew it, he was crushing hard. Saturday after Saturday, he stood on his balcony and watched attentively until one day the unexpected happens. The court boy waves Austin over and not only could Austin not stop himself from rushing down into the court, he also couldn't stop the drama that would unfold.

With a once in a lifetime opportunity with a full basketball scholarship to GSU Harlem would have been stupid to turn it down. However life had a twisted and fucked up way of making good people hurt. When his mother and only living family member is diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer Harlem is forced to touch bases with old connects and pick up a not so safe side hustle. All while balancing his sport management degree and his grilling basketball requirements. Seemingly both alone in their own ways, who knew that an old hardly in use skating rink, a few joints, and good old r&b story telling would bring two drowning souls together and make life seem all the more bearable.
