Atlas didn't understand. Why did their best, most close friend, send a bomb to their planet? Aesir damned, why did she? Why was their runes crawling on their skin, what god possessed them to do this? Atlas didn't understand. Maybe they never will, the only thing ringing in their ears was 'fight.'
Evelyn was scared and scarred. An explosion ripped her from her normal, her sickly sweet normal. She watched the library explode in front of her, did they do this? The rebels? The cruel unthinking cretins that stole her friend and made them cursed? She assumed yes, and begam her journey to stop this madness. On the right side of this war.

Life started simple for Tarina and her young friend Willem, as these stories often go. As these stories also often go, however, they do not remain that way. When an army invades their home and enslaves of kills the population entirely the pair is thrust into a violent world they had never wanted to be part of. They fight to free themselves and what is left of their friends and ferry them to safety. They make it to the next town after a harrowing journey, only to find themselves in another mess. It takes a fight, some very good acting and a lot of luck to get out of it, but they meet their first friend they'd made since they started. Einark, a gruff dwarven smith with a hammer big enough to intimidate a giant helps Tarina escape, adding to the already mounting bounty on her head. The three of them part from their remaining friends and neighbors, trying to draw the attention of the Crown away from them. Their travels bring them across the kingdom, meeting more friends along the way...and the woman that would steal Tarina's heart. She lets the group find peace for a time before they have to flee again. And a few outsiders, but that was either the sellers, chosen group of warriors or dragon riders, and lastly the best fighters of the academies that went into the arena. To prove who is stronger and the winner will receive high quality weapons or any other things of their choice. One day the darkness came and war started. Not between us, but with a kingdom that was across the sea. And this battle or war changed everything we knew. I'm Ardyn, I'm on the side where we ride on dragons.
