Mature

A city is a living thing, and like all living things, it has its own rhythm. A rhythm doesn't exist unless it is heard or felt. It's heard by a bartender who can't contain her curiosity. It's felt by two people who can't decide if they hate each other or not. Like the beat of a heart. Or the blows of a boxer. You get the picture. So even on the days off, two souls that pulse in tandem can't help but beat together, whether they like it or not.

After months of getting to know and love Futaba Sakura, knowing that she is the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with, it's all ripped away by one man. Takuto Maruki has decided that people cannot be allowed to think for themselves, and that they should never have to feel pain, well, unless you interfere with his plan. After being thoroughly trounced by the Phantom Thieves, Maruki makes one last ditch attempt to break the theives, and kills Futaba. In his blind rage, Akira Kurusu, otherwise known as Joker takes matters into his own hands, and stops the mad God in his tracks. Time reverts to its original self, with Akechi dead and gone and Maruki and Futaba alive and well, and Akira in Juvinile Detention. After being freed from prison, he finds out that something went wrong when the timeline was restored. Futaba knows him not as her lover, but merely as his friend. Now Akira must find a way to cope with this new life in Hometown, while trying to juggle the return of the Metaverse, and Futaba tries to find her way through the complex feelings she has for Joker, but can't quite explain, as well as the dreams that almost feel like memories. Will she push through and recover her memories and her love? Or will she and Akira both fade into the Mementos of what they have lost. I took a couple liberties with events and the Timeline, but overall, I stayed fairly close to the original game's story. This is a passion project that sprung to mind while driving, and now I'm hyperfixated... Welp, time to churn out a book. ENJOY READING IT!! We all have that problem that's a burden on us, a problem if we just faced it our lives would be so much easier, but its a problem that's so hard to tackle, that it's simply easier to push it to the side for now. We go about our lives believing we have plenty of time to fix things and resolve that problem, but deep down we all know that isn't true. That problem is a ticking time bomb where one day it will be too late to fix, yet we are to scared to face that reality so instead everyone goes along with the naive hope that everything will be fine. However one day reality will hit and it will hit hard. You never know when it's going to come knocking; you're never ready for your life to abruptly change but it can happen anytime. For one Diluc Ragnvindr, reality hit him hard! He never expected his life to change that night but when he walked up those tavern stairs, his fate was sealed and the timer had started. tldr: Diluc finds Kaeya poisoned in the tavern and realises he's racing against time t save his brother but also get to reconcile with him.

He was just over-reacting, he had to be. This was literally just as simple as him having lost some of his tolerance since the last time he went on a drinking binge and the fact that he was drinking sake that was stronger than what he was used to, the stuff he usually drank coming from sketchier bars that served the shitty stuff the "good" bars didn't want. Not that this bar was good by anyone's standards, they simply didn't care enough to check IDs on people who looked close to the legal age or had ANBU tattoos like himself, which made it good enough . The alarm bells died down a bit at that, only to flare back up stronger than ever when someone pushed into the stall with him and closed the door behind them, wedging Kakashi between their heavy body and the filthy graffiti ridden wall.
