Born of Flames

Asterria has entered an era of renewal following the battle at Durga's How, but its sense of peace cannot be shared by those who heard the dire warning given by the gods. Although ten months have passed, Morana and Tarion still believe that Astaroth could return and are determined to be ready to face him this time. But their people have other priorities which threaten to upend their lives once more.

Division is spreading between the people who are pushing for Tarion and Morana to be crowned Asterria's new King and Queen, and those who believe their purpose has been served. They are caught in the rippling tides of change, and with the future hidden from even those who once wrote it, there is no telling where that change will lead.

As the tension grows, Morana is becoming more afraid that they won't be prepared to face the new threats emerging, and of what will happen if her worst fears are realized. Only one Heir of Hadeon will remain standing at the end of it all: an immortal God-spawn, or the mortal Phoenix. Can Morana fulfill her destiny and the sacrifices demanded by it to destroy Astaroth once and for all, or will the world be lost in flames?
