This is a book about the Guardians, a group of elite skilled and highly trained dragon warriors from the Elements at War universe.

They are led by Xiraos, initially the Dragon God from the Human Realm Pantheon, and the Acid Guardian - a now virtually extinct species. He created the Guardians once the Dragon Realm was under threat of Demon attack.

There are 10 Official Guardians, not including Xiraos. They all watch over their element and its region. There are also a handful of unofficial Guardians, in the Wyvern Guardians, the Crystal Guardian, and the Twins.

THE FATE OF WAR: EMERGENCE

161 parts Ongoing

As his friend's lifeless body fell at the hands of a Seele, Itoshi could do nothing but watch-paralyzed, helpless, broken. Something in him snapped that day. From that moment on, he made a vow: He would never let anyone else suffer the same fate. No matter how far he had to go. No matter how many Seeles he had to put down. Since then, he's traveled the world with his squad, 663, "cleansing" every Seele infestation they find-efficiently, mercilessly. To most, he's a protector. A weapon of justice. But justice has a handler. Enter Miz-the calm within the carnage, or perhaps the one stoking the fire. While Itoshi burns through the world with his Blue Rage, Miz remains the quiet shadow at his side, offering a "humble" smile that hides more than it reveals. Is Miz the anchor keeping Itoshi's humanity intact, or is he merely the architect guiding a broken weapon toward a much darker purpose? Deep down, even Itoshi doesn't know if he's truly fighting for others, or just trying to fill the void that opened when he lost the only person who truly mattered. Maybe it's a mission. Maybe it's penance. Or maybe... with Miz watching every step, it's just an excuse.
