When you look into a mirror, what do you see? Do you see yourself, or do you see the "you" that is shaped by those around you? Is the true self the reflection of one's deepest qualities, or a being made of clay, molded and shaped by every soul that it meets?

Melanie has long wondered the answer to this question. A junior in college, she lives a stressful, somewhat uncertain life as the world rapidly changes around her and her two friends and roommates, Maeve and Nicki.

These three students all face a confusing, uncertain future. They live on the precipice on the future as they all begin the second semester of their third year of college, right as the first few weeks of January fade into February.

It feels like the world they've lived in since birth is rapidly crumbling around them. Day by day, people somehow snap and go completely ballistic, suffering from this odd disease that somehow completely breaks their mind. Melanie and her peers have taken to calling these people The Shattered due to just how messed up they are.

Their problems become much more apparent as, one day, they discover this odd urban myth back from when they were just children: the Persona game. It apparently can show them their true selves. Why not?

None of them expect what comes next, however, as this simple action throws them into a world where they discover just how deep the rabbit hole into their psyches go. One by one, they're set on a collision course with discovering the true nature of what creates The Shattered. Can they swim in the sea of the unconsciousness, or will they drown in the souls constituting its waters?

This is a full remake of a duology of Persona fics I never quite got around to finishing. Expect a whole new setting, original and canonical characters, and a brand-new, unique conflict that takes you through that which might make you wish to avert your eyes. I hope all of you enjoy the story of Melanie, Maeve, and Nicki as they gaze into their reflections; their truths.
