Behind the television screens of Vaelan lies a conspiracy so well formulated that it keeps the entire nation in constant check. Under the control of The Dominion, talented individuals are pressed into The Commercial, kept in line by blackmail, drugs and the thousands of uniform soldiers patrolling the streets known as the Elite.

When coffee shop waitress, Calen, takes up writing as a hobby, she is quickly discovered and entered into The Commercial. The experience is no different for her than it is for anyone else, until she meets Leo. Leo wants nothing more than to escape and is willing to go as far as it takes to achieve his goals. As their plans hatch right under the nose of The Dominion, the Carona decides to host an unprecedented event that could send them back to square one.
