This story contains Human and Alien characters, and while there is romance and violence, it is portrayed in a manner that is not gratuitous and stays roughly PG.

Instead he got put on a Scout ship with just one other soul and sent on a five month mission out into deep space. The mission quickly becomes more than the young commander could have ever expected and the fate of humanity lies in how fast he can return back to humanity. I did not know what overcame me. Why I felt the need to do it. But one thing was for certain.
