In the daylight, they move on with their daily lives, like signing papers, attending meetings, consulting people, attending college; but at night time, they run through the shadows, and under the moonlight, they are part time spies or whatever, you name it.
Yes, they had wonderful lives, with enough money to feed and shelter themselves and their families, or even to throw a sundown party for new year. But they didn't leave their job of being spies, stealing information, manipulating data and even misleading people! Why? They themselves didn't know.
They kept going on with their lives because, they found each other when all their lives seemed to be falling apart and ever since, they haven't left each other's side. And moreover, they love being in the darkness while everyone else jumps into their traps like fools.
Their lives weren't as easy or fun as it might sound like. All the four are scarred deeply and they just couldn't get over it, as if it was a very big defense wall with no way of jumping over it.
They held themselves together, with their group of 4. Trust issues were a thing, hence the gang of 4 never broke.
While they thought their lives couldn't get anymore BITTER, it started turning SWEETer after their encounter with 4 other people, who were just like them.
Spies? Yes, but as broken and vulnerable as them.
