Galveston

Tallia, a magus who by accident made herself eternally a preteen during her tutorship as a mage wanting a fresh start, moves to the imperial capital to become an adventurer as a fresh start to escape ridicule of her peers.

There she meets a mysterious being made entirely of metal. Enter Galveston. a Combat Automation who crash landed on the world known as Tellak--and has no clue what he is or where he even came, and spends his earning as an adventurer renting books from the Royal Library to learn what he may be and about the planet he has found himself on.

Joining Galveston, and becoming a party, Tallia and the automaton become two unlikely allies, and over time, their relationship becomes more than just party members.

Unknown to either of the two, Galveston is far from an ordinary automaton. The first ever to be fully self aware---and his creators are not so happy about losing track of him as the two unlikely allies are thrust into a battle that will determine the fate of the entire Galaxy.
