Alternate Universes but set during the same time period that Tim and Lucy are in the show - Tim Bradford has just been put on leave from the LAPD after a gunshot that he sustained while in a shootout with a gang, Southern Front. In Arizona, Lucy Chen has just broken up with her boyfriend and is moving to Los Angeles with her 7 year old son, Joseph, and 5 year old daughter, Jessie, to start a new life. A week in Los Angeles and Lucy Chen found herself in a tangle of trouble after bumping into a highschool bully which she had a lot of problems with whilst in highschool. Tim was walking down the street when he saw a disturbing scene of a pretty brunette lady drugged and stabbed multiple times. He immediately brings her to the hospital where he slowly falls in love with her after spending time with her during her time in the Intensive Care Unit.
