Evelyn's heart pounded in her chest as she carefully set up snares and camouflaged herself in the surrounding foliage. She knew that the Hunters were close, their footsteps echoing through the dense forest. She had to stay one step ahead of them, using every skill she had learned over the years to evade capture.

Nate watched her intently, his piercing blue eyes scanning the area for any sign of danger. He was impressed by her skill and bravery, feeling a growing sense of admiration for her. He had been drafted into this hunt against his will, but he couldn't help but feel a sense of awe for Evelyn's ability to survive in such a hostile environment.

The Hunters moved through the forest with military precision, every step taken with deadly purpose. They were determined to capture Evelyn at all costs, their eyes locked on their target, ready to strike at any moment.
Evelyn's petite frame moved quickly and confidently as she set up traps, her piercing green eyes scanning the area for any sign of danger. She knew that one false move could mean the end of her life, but she refused to give in. She was a survivor, and nothing would stop her from making it out of this forest alive.
As the sun began to set, Evelyn heard a twig snap behind her. She whirled around, her hand automatically reaching for her hunting knife. It was one of the Hunters, his expression cold and calculating as he raised his weapon.
But Evelyn was faster. She lunged forward, her knife flashing in the dying light.

Most impressive rank: 1 - Fairytale *** Casey is all alone in the werewolf world, the only family she has left is her crazy dad. her mum died of cancer, causing her dad to go crazy and start beating Casey. What's worse is that she can't get away from the violence because when she goes to school they do the same. *** I close my eyes so I could listen and smell everything in case this was the last time I would ever be in this beautiful forest. I chase away any bad or worried thoughts because this place seemed so sacred it did not allow them. I breath in and catch the sweet scent of lavender flowers that speckled the ground in little clumps and the dry smell of dirt that hadn't been rained on in a couple of day. I listen to the steady titters of birds as they fly from tree to tree, collecting little twigs and leaves to build their nests with. I listen to the buzz of the bees greedily feasting on the flowers that scattered around the dry forest floor. I open my eyes to take in the scenery, rays of sunlight filter through the green canopy, penetrating through the leaves and casting a green-yellow effulgence over the ground that wavers as the trees rustle in the light whispers of wind. The crunching of dry leaves under my feet alert me so I cast my eyes to the floor and watch as I step on each individual leaf and dry twig, enjoying the snapping sounds that echo through the near silent forest. Gnarly roots dip into ground and twisted branches reach down, fingers grasping the air, as if reaching for me and I shiver, thinking of my father. I cast my eyes up to think of something else and instantly calm as another puff of breeze rustles the leaves on the trees and ground gently. I look ahead and notice the steady thinning of the old trees and run towards it, loving the feeling of the air in my air and clothes. I spot what I think is light dancing on waters surface and sprint for it. Then I break through the trees, making it to the lake.

"THE AFTERLIFE CAN BE A REAL BITCH, RIGHT?" "Henri-" I began, but Henri's hand snatched up mine and squeezed tightly enough to break bones. I bit my tongue to hold back a cry. It was a warning. "Maria didn't say anything about a couple of vampires wanting to meet with her," the green-haired warlock spoke after the area had stilled with electrified silence. I looked Henri's way, and that's really when our situation caught up with me. Wait... "Maria..." I murmured in remembrance, then sent Henri a glare. "Why are we here to see Maria Day? If you don't remember, let me remind you that I killed her friend. Hell, her master. She'll kill me when she sees me." Henri had the nerve to laugh softly. "You're already dead, Antoinette." "Thanks to you. There are other ways witches can hurt vampires, aren't there?" My eyes traveled shortly to the warlocks, Daniel and Zachary, and I shook my head. "She'll burn me alive! I'm not going in there." "You're overacting," Henri said with a dramatic eye roll with a worth of a slap across his face. Lucky for him, I kept my hands at my sides. This night was about to get dangerous... This is Book 3 of The Hunters Saga! 1st draft, so there WILL be mistakes! ******* " If I were you, Evelyn, I would put that gun down and stand back. " Her sickening voice traveled to my ears. I turned around to look at her dead in the eyes. She gulped and cowered a little at the direct eye contact. Keeping my eyes locked on hers, a menacing look in mine, I sauntered towards her. My stance, now confident and terrifying for her. " And if I were you, I would have run a long time ago. But look what you did. You came right in. And you tried to take what was mine. Again. Do you think I'll let you walk away now? " I sneered in a low threatening voice. A slow victorious smirk made its way across my face as I saw complete terror finally set into her evil brown eyes. ******** Evelyn Rose Johnson is a 21-year-old, not-so-normal girl living in New York. [COMPLETED] "Shoot," Joey mumbles, letting out a string of profanities under his breath. We turn around to find a group of men, all with guns, standing where we just came from, and they look pissed... probably because they were forced to run through this tunnel after us. "Thought you could get away, didn't you?" The man who I saw before asks. His husky voice booms in the hollow tunnel, reverberating off of the dirt walls. His voice sounds familiar, and a realization strikes me. It sounds like the man from my dream. I remember him holding a gun and wearing a blue suit, smiling evilly at me. "Leave us alone," Joey says, sounding dangerous and snapping me out of my thoughts. The levity of the situation hits-we need to get out of here. I look around for a route of escape and thankfully I see a light, literally, at the end of the second tunnel. I let out a small, almost inaudible, gasp and nudge Joey. He looks at me and I subtly gesture with my head to the second tunnel. He glances at it and immediately we are on the same page. His jaw sets and he looks at the group. The man speaks up again, chuckling darkly-a sound I will never forget and will be permanently etched into my brain, "You can thank your father for starting this mess." -------------------------- Liza was a normal teenaged girl, living the average life that an eighteen year old girl should be living.
