"if legacy had a voice," is a collection of poetry I indulge in between writing novels. Sometimes we just need a place to go where we can be unapologetically honest, and a blank Google Doc creates that space for me. Enjoy some of my brutal truths poured from my side of the screen to yours.

"I love you god knows I do but I can't do this. I can't. I put up with the phone calls, the text messages, social media, random chicks, not coming home, and everything else. Let alone a baby you conceived by some random chick. I'd be a fool to marry you. I'm sorry but it's time I loved me more than you" I looked at him once more as a tear slid down his face as he stood there lost for words. I looked at our family and friends, hiked up my dress, and walked down the aisle. "Sorry guys! Enjoy the reception and the trip. Please don't let it go to waste" I said as I ran down the seashell lined aisle not knowing where I was going. April Elegance Blackmon is a woman who has it all...literally. She's the owner of Blackmon Technologies which happens to be a billion dollar computer Software Corporation. Materialistically she has it all. What she lacks is love and although she loved her man love just wasn't enough. Sure they looked great on the outside but in the inside they were a recipe for disaster maybe even toxic. Inside she was fighting for a man who wasn't worth fighting for. Watch as she finally let's love go only to get swept right on in by someone she promised she wouldn't entertain again well type of man anyway. This book is for you, who wants to read about what life can be like, most of the times. This book has reminders, poetry, tips and tricks, quotes, texts about meaning with life, happy moment and even sad moments. A little bit of everything life can throw at you. I have no filter to this book. Which means it's raw and genuine, and that is the goal. (You don't necessarily have to read from start to finish) If you for an example have a bad day, I have a chapter for you about seeing it thru a different perspective than what people normally tell you. Or if you feel like you want to know what happiness is or feels like, I have different definition of that in different chapters for you my dear! (And many more chapters, about everything you could think of) And maybe you know all of this already, and it glads me to hear. But give it a chance and maybe you'll find new ways to Incorporate it in your daily life. Or let it just be reminders for yourself. What ever works for you, love! - A.M🍷
