I run across the quiet suburban street not planning on stopping. Traces of blood on my hands spread to the skirt of my dress still in attempts to further clean my hands. I turn my head back to see the road just as empty as before, nothing but the streetlights accompany me and my escape.

The cool night air stings against my tear soaked cheeks. I turn down any corner and run down every street until I no longer recognize where I am. My sprint slows to a walk, breathing heavily as the events of tonight replay in my head.

Standing under a dim light post, I stare at my stained hands again, a daunting reminder of what I've done tonight. Tears stream freely down my face. My mind is racing with questions, none of them finding answers. One rings loudest in my head.

What now?
