The book Derek Jeter is about Derek having a life goal on being shortstop for the Yankees. Everyone thought he could
never become shortstop for the Yankees except his friend Vijay. On Derek's little league team Derek had competition for shortstop. This kid named Peter was playing shortstop. Derek played second base and got number 2 instead of 13 like he usually did.
