Lana is a young college student who is 19 turning 20 soon. Her new semester of school has just started. She lives on campus but still finds it hard to get around. Living off of Uber and her brother Carson, she has been trying to live her new found life the best she can. Partying every weekend, and barely making it to classes during the week, she struggles to find the ability to time manage. College is hard enough for her, but when she walks in one day to see Emiliano, her brother's best friend, is her professor, she knows it'll be a long and tough semester.

Emiliano is 25 years old and has his life figured out. Well...for the most part. His Italian family makes his life a living hell but his American family, being Carson and his family, makes his life a walk on paradise. He has become one with the American life after spending more than half of his life living in Italy with his Mafia family ,The De Lucas. He's gotten adjusted to being with his new family and finding his way with teaching at a university close to home. Only one thing makes his life harder now, Lana. She's too much of a ray of sunshine for him. But what happens when one day, she walks in his lecture and is looking at him with the eyes he adores so much, but could never tell.
