Mindy Valenzuela is a regular 14 year old girl, and a freshman in Ridgemont High.  If you think her life to be cliché, and filled with everything you read in books, then you're wrong. Her life is pretty boring and uninteresting. 

Until Damion Gonzales spills an Icee on her favorite shirt. 

Now her life is insane. She's bullied and mercilessly teased by Claire Stevenson, an unpopular girl, who's jealous of Mindy. Her best friend Alex might end up moving, and her other BFF Christi might transfer to another school. 

And Damion is confusing her even more. What is it about this grey eyed boy that makes Mindy so flustered?
