The past is the past, the future is uncertain.

This piece of advice had stuck with Vivianna her whole life. To move forward and never look back is what her grandmother would tell her growing up, especially after the death of her mother. Once her grandmother passed, Vivianna uprooted from her old life to live in her grandmother's home in Rome, Italy when it was given to her in the will.

Vivianna soon discovers that the awaiting feeling she had chosen to ignore for so long will come to fruition when she meets him.

Apollo has lived a long time. Too long, he would say. As humanity progressed and the ideas and discoveries of man left the old traditions with the gods at the center of it all, it gave him the perspective on the choices he made in life. The choices that ruined many and left lessons for humans to learn from.

He had many regrets, most of them being the tragic fates his lovers had faced. Most assume Hyacinthus was his greatest, and to an extent he was. However, one haunted him the most, one that lost it all in a brutal way that resulted in the deaths of thousands as well. One of the catalysts of the Trojan War simply because he felt rejected.

Cassandra, the seer who was never believed. Apollo felt many regrets when he thought of her, yet he had hope. The Fates and his Oracle made a promise to him the day she died.

Finally, he would have a second chance, when he met her.
