After a terrifying man in a dark mask breaks into his home and murders his family, Calum Hood is sent across the world to live with his aunt in the United States. As depression sets in, and secrets of the murders are revealed, Calum becomes lost and stuggles to figure out wether he can make it any longer. When all hope seems to be gone, he meets the the town's mystery- Maeve. Maybe she will be the one to who can intrigue him long enough to finally bring him back from the dark.
