The Wingrider

In the distant land of Nierva existed two kingdoms. To one side was the human Kingdom of Harn to the other was the elven Kingdom of Gala'Kavier. These two kingdoms were bitter enemies locked in a century-long conflict. Many years prior there exited a third race of beings called wingriders and their kingdom, the Kingdom of Karjun. For a time they maintained peace between the humans and elves but one day they were wiped off the face of the planet. In their absence war broke out. In the present time, the war is coming to an end in the humans' favor. This victory was by in large due to a talented young knight by the name of Alik. This young knight is unhappy with the terms of surrender deeming them outrageous. The twisted King of Harn demanded elven slaves to tend to his fields and castle. Reluctantly the elves fulfilled the terms much to their shame. In a bid to protect a family that had lost everything already, the princess of Gala'Kavier volunteered to fill the spot much to her parent's dismay. Upon the elves' arrival, they were split apart, some going to the fields and others to the castle. As for the princess she was given over to the talented young knight. Being a good person the young knight silently swore to free the elves. But will he be able to, will the elves learn to trust him, and most importantly what will the twisted king do?

Author's note. This is my first attempt at writing a story from scratch. I have had this idea for something like six years and it has changed a lot since its inception. I am not good at writing or telling stories but this is my creative outlet. Feedback is always appreciated however please let any criticism be constructive.
