When Lianna, Rhysand's sister, is found after an entombed slumber of 500 years, a mysterious plague infecting the fae leads her into the arms of Azriel, and begins to bring the secrets of her power to the light.

Elias, the Prince of the Darkbringers and Keirs estranged son, reluctantly agrees to help to combat the Affliction.

Lianna, beginning to uncover inconsistencies in what she is told about her origin and asks her brother to help her find out more, but Rhysand refuses.
