"School Spirits" are what they were called. Spirits who died at Split River stayed there.  A young cheerleader named August Evergreen was murdered by her cheating boyfriend and was condemned to walls of the school. For a long time she pretended she was still alive and would attend cheer practice. That was until a spirit crossed over and she knew she needed to change. She then met a curious jock and a spark began between the two.

It's a move they'll come to regret if she has any say in the matter. Nothing humiliates posh folk like having a daughter sent home from the country's most esteemed educational institution. Just flunking class isn't dramatic enough, though. Des plans to get booted in the most spectacular manner possible, just to make sure her parents' social circle will never let them live it down. Her scheming, unfortunately, encounters three roadblocks within the first week of class. The first: Exie Quinnell, teacher's pet, whip-smart, and unreasonably attractive. Neither girl intended to end up on a project together, but their teacher deemed Des in need of a little... remediation. The second: There are things about Melliford Academy that none of the teachers will talk about, even when pressed. Things that should be easy answers. "I'm sure I can think of something." Dean whispered, closing the gap between them. It all happened so fast. It wasn't supposed to happen, none of it. They were drunk, they were alone, and they were stupid. But nevertheless, it happened. And Dean had to live with the fact that he'd walked away from all of it, from what had made him truly happy: Cas. But now, 7 years later, he finds himself back at the same place where everything started... back at that cabin resort, the one where he met Cas for the first time. The place that started it all. Except... seeing Cas again isn't the only thing Dean has to worry about. Something is off with the cabin. He can't put his finger on it, but he's about to find out sooner or later.

Josephine Finnes was killed by a hit and run, while crossing the street to get to her car, after her after school book club. Josephine was seventeen years old. The driver, Mark Kelso, is currently in hospital after he later crashed the car again, where police discovered he was drinking heavily. There have been some updates. It has been confirmed that the hit and run was done under the influence of alcohol, where driver Mark Kelso was travelling fifty, in a school zone. Josephine Finnes parents have been told and currently asking for privacy at this time. *Finale news report* In memory of the student, Josephine Finnes. Friends and family gather and lay flowers at the bus stop where she was found on Monday evening. Her parents and siblings were first to lay sunflowers, saying their daughter was 'a beam of light and their lives now darker without her'. The driver Mark Kelso, aged twenty-three was charged with manslaughter amongst others.
