A Short Story.
Victoria Berlin was an ordinary girl. She was beautiful but not stunning enough to stick out in a crowd. Her 5'2" frame was healthy for a non-athlete; needless to say she'd rather die than run or play any sports. The expressions her face wore were always an open book to her mind, which people often found intimidating because of the frowns she wore while thinking. Out of all the things that made her Victoria, it was her hair that was the most memorable feature. Ninety-nine percent of the compliments she'd ever received were about her hair, which fell just above her hips in waves of strawberry blonde with hints of brown natural highlights.
Since childhood she'd always been a hopeless romantic, however her luck was never enough to draw anyone out. Being shy crossed with low confidence made boys one of the hardest challenges of growing up, even if she had a crush every single year since kindergarten.
Enter Reed Denver, who is far from ordinary. Tall, dark, and handsome is an understatement. He's the type of guy that everyone likes for all the right reasons. Even the smallest smile can melt a girl's heart like ice cream on a hot summer's day, and it doesn't help that he's one of the friendliest people on the planet. There's only one flaw about him.
She's looking for a relationship, for love.
He's already found them.
