For two years, university student Aera's greatest escape was writing her hit web novel, Crimson Thorns and Royal Love. Her most celebrated creation was the antagonist: the ruthless, impossibly privileged, and flawlessly beautiful Lady Evelina Argent, sole heir to the Grand Dukedom and architect of her own spectacular downfall. But after falling asleep mid-draft, Aera wakes up inside her creation-in the silk gowns and amethyst eyes of Evelina herself. Now, as the terrifyingly powerful Duchess of the Unfinished Script, Evelina possesses the ultimate advantage: she knows the entire plot. She knows the heroine's arrival is imminent, the Crown Prince's manipulative nature, and the series of perfectly-designed "Ruin Flags" that will inevitably lead to the Argent Dukedom's collapse and her own exile in the frozen North. The catch? She hasn't written the final chapters yet, leaving her fate flexible but terrifyingly uncertain. To survive, Evelina must desperately dismantle the traps she set for her own character, re-write the story from the inside, and convince the entire kingdom-including her own merciless father-that the new, less-villainous Duchess is the true successor to the Argent name. Can the author escape the tragic destiny she meticulously crafted for her masterpiece, or is Evelina doomed to play the villain until the bitter, final page?
