The Next Step

I awoke with a jolt, my eyes struggling to adjust to the darkness that surrounded me. The air was thick with the musty scent of decay, and the room was cloaked in shadows, illuminated only by slivers of moonlight filtering through cracks in the walls. My heart raced as I took in my surroundings, the dank air chilling me to the bone.

The realization hit me like a thunderbolt: "I had been kidnapped. But by whom? And where was I now"? Questions swirled in my mind, each more terrifying than the last.

Fear tightened its grip around me, threatening to consume me whole. With each passing moment, the sense of impending doom grew stronger, a relentless force driving me to the brink of madness.

I was alone, lost in a world of shadows and secrets. And as the darkness closed in around me, I knew that my fight for survival had only just begun.
