A Scaled Beast: Secret of the Dragon's Flame

The elders always say that magic is the equivalent of life, that it is the source of life, that you can find it anywhere in the world even in the most desolate of places. They say that every soul has its own mana key and that if every child was able to open the first door there would be a possibility to discover a new one but it's not as easy as it sounds. It is said that there are mythical creatures of mana are able to bestow such gifts upon souls they deem fit. The branches of mana extends way beyond one's understanding, it is said that the more you immerse yourself in the nature innate to you, the more likely you are to unlock your second door, if nature itself deems you worthy.

Everyone wants power, the power to heal, to destroy, to conquer, power over other living beings. When will it stop? This thirst for power is what left my village in ruins and all because I thought I could trust the very beings my father hated, dragons. Mana creatures are prideful beings that care about no one but their own survival. Some secrets transcend death, sacrifices will be made to keep order and lives will fall to ruin to protect bonds so dear that even mana itself can't hope to break.
