The world had gone to hell. That was the simplest description of what happened when a zombie virus that wasn't actually a virus broke out in Indonesia and spread over the entire world in no time. Then the governments decided to bomb the larger cities and important places to slow the spread. It helped... A little. Many people who had yet to be infected were killed during the bombings, but the destruction they brought also revealed governmental secrets. Underground laboratories located under important buildings that did illegal experiments on animals and even humans.

I know that some things in this story aren't canon, like names, any other personal information or dates. I made these adjustments to fit my original idea for the story. Please know that I wrote the first six or seven chapters of this story while I was staying in a friend's garden in Berlin and that I had no wifi.

Do yourself a favor... Go read "The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse" and/or "Messing with the Supernatural" This story is more dead than my will to live. A slowburn-ish soapxreader story i made for fun (first time yay) COMPLETED+MINORS DNI all cover credits to 661ave on tik tok!! they make the best COD renderings. Reader is a solider working for the Shadow Company at Graves orders. The mission was to find, maybe fuck, and kill Soap, Ghosts only friend; without Soap Ghost would be a shell of a man and unable to use his strengths again the Shadow Companys bigger plan. But along the way things get a little south as you are instead taken as a hostage to the 141 at their base. Learning you were betrayed by Phillip Graves you join the 141 to help them out to get closer to Graves to kill him and escape the military all together with Benning, who may or may not be alive. It's not very lore accurate and loosely takes place during MW2. The most iinspo i got plot wise is the cold war campaign so if ykkk ;) At the beginning there was more POV variation; by the end i stuck with 2nd pov. mc is a little of self insert and annoying, dont worry.
