Haru Misaki has had her mother murder, while she listened under the floorboards. The murders burn the house down, forcing Haru to abandon her mother in the flames. She gets her younger brother to leave with her, with no home to return to, they decide to live with their old best friend Kou Akiyama. Kou must help Haru forget about the past and move on. She soon goes to her old school with Kou. Right when she introduces herself, there is already a sudden rumor that Haru is going out with Kou!
