Story setting -> This takes place in Dema and Trench. It's primarily Tyler Joseph's POV. This story is going more in-depth of Dema, its control, its people, and the rules the people must follow that make it such a miserable place. KEEP IN MIND - a lot of this is not evidence based. This is a separate interpretation than Tyler and Josh's true Dema, and Trench. If I get upvotes, this story will continue.
A little about me -> I used to be really into Twenty One Pilots, but stopped writing stories. I'm back into now with the new album coming back and I had a really cool Clancy vs Dema story idea. If I get more upvotes, I'll continue writing.

Xena is a quiet and talented girl hiding so many secrets and so much suffering behind her scars and words. It wasn't until Josh, the world famous drummer for Twenty One Pilots, kindly decided to pick up her spilled groceries and offer her his spare bag that Xena realised she could finally have something good in her life again. Grabbing coffee with Xena was seemingly harmless until their friendship blooms and Josh lets himself get too close. Xena seemingly doesn't like him back, but who knows, she might come around. Whilst Xena is finally getting her happiness back, James, the boy who caused a world of hell for Xena, gets released from the Twin Valley Mental Institution and puts into action the plan he's been thinking up for years whilst he was locked away. His plan takes a turn for the worst, leaving Xena's only friends shattered and damaged for a long time. Øverturning the lies (a twenty one pilots fanfiction)
Tyler is alone in the city of Dema. He can't remember who he was before then. All he knows now is trying to survive in this world. He sees others around him who are struggling too, and he wants to help them. But he can't. He can't even seem to help himself. He keeps thinking he sees his best fren, Josh, but he's still not sure if its really him or if the city has finally driven him insane. His life now is nothing but fear. And there doesn't seem to be a way to fix that. Maybe there is...but maybe there isn't. The thing is, he's too afraid to find out. Fear is how they control you. The bishops. They see everything you do. And they want to destroy you. So don't bother fighting. They'll come for you. They'll come for you when you least expect it. Possible trigger warning: self-harm/suicide. This story is about overcoming that and overcoming depression. But it might be triggering to some readers. I'll add trigger warnings to those parts. The Creator
It's the year 2050, and the country that was once known as America has closed off all of its borders and has now been named Dema. The states as vanished, but now Dema is split into nine different sanctions, or provinces, each led by its own Bishop. The leader of Dema, Nicolas Bourbaki, or Nico as everyone calls him, runs Dema with the help of the bishops. His army, the niner's are the police force that enforces the strict rules that Nico has placed in the country. It was a harsh transition, but ever since Dema has been running smoothly. Nico created a band on popular culture. This includes music, art, movies, media, and much more. He created job assignments, so there was a regulation and who does what job, so the country can be successful. If you got chosen to be a creator, you were the one who gets to create the art or media, that can be listened to by the listeners. The listeners are what once were called celebrities, the top 1%. It's quiet in Dema without music and art, but this allows for focus on the jobs and the raises the success rate of Dema. But what happens when a banned creator starts his own secret rebellious group?Complete
