Once a girl named Aislinn had a strange dream. She dreamed that at night in the forest she met a fae prince who proposed to her. And she agreed. It was just a dream after all. We do crazy things in our dreams.

Except it wasn't a dream at all. However, she found this out only when she woke up in a castle in a foreign land, surrounded by strange beings. And now the game of getting back into your life begins.
Trapped in the Realm of the Faes, she tries to escape and the only way to do so is to defeat her fiancé, Prince Nathaniel, in three tasks assigned to them by the regents, who may want to kill them both.

And that's not all. Everything is more complicated than it seems at first glance. And she is only about to find out.

Throughout the book, the main character tries to discover what it means to be alive as a 'lower being' in a new world. Originally, she believes herself to be human until an accident occurs, and she finds herself to be woken up in the middle of what she thought to be some sort of cosplay festival. Oddly enough, these strange creatures weren't human, which she quickly realized after being attacked and nearly killed. Now she's got to learn how to survive in this new, scary environment where everyone's out for her demise. I've learned a lot of the parts in this book relate to real-life events, places in the present, and the past. You'll see a lot of connections between actual human historical events and the goings on in this book. The main character is, above all, head strong and bold. She's unafraid of the social normal and any punishments that come when defying them. ----- My original caption for the story: I had a dream, and it was kinda awesome and slightly romantic.
