17 year old Gabrielle Blythe, a girl with a straight A report card everytime, high achieving scholar, pleaded skirts and cardigan. Well, was.
Comes back her Senior year only to see one of her best friends + crush Zach Forester, has gotten even more attractive over the summer, but she doesn't want to ruin the friendship and make it awkward for the rest of the friend group, in which she continues to keep it a secret. Well, so she thought.
Turns out someone in the friend group has noticed Gabrielle's heart eyes for Zach.
None other than Gabrielle's "frenemie" 17 year old Ryder Kline.
But instead of using it against Gabrielle, he offers her a deal.
Ryder has taken a slight interest in a girl also in the friend group but just like Gabrielle, doesn't wanna mess things up.
He offers her a deal that Gabrielle won't think will work, he offers that the 2 should pretend to date, show off infront of their crushes so that they'd hopefully become jealous, and maybe even win them over. (Practically all my inspo comes from the book Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter, so credits to her!)
