Cecelia and Matteo come from vastly different, but also somewhat similar backgrounds. Cecelia grew up in the mafia, learning how to fend for herself from a young age. Her mother left when she was a child, leaving just her and her father. Despite Cecelia's rough exterior, she longs for love and affection, but the fear of losing someone she cares about has kept her away from the thought of any sort of relationship.

Matteo Russo has never been shown his worth. Considering his abusive and toxic uncle, I think we all can cut him some slack. He's learned to protect himself. To keep a distance. Matteo is a man of few words. He has always kept to himself, never really opening up to anyone. But don't let his pulled-back demeanor fool you. Matteo is a man of intense strength and industriousness joining to be a part of the mafia alongside Cecelia's dad.

Together, Cecelia and Matteo, plan to go on a mission to capture the president's wife. But in the oncoming events that occur, Cecelia and Matteo can't help but start feeling indescribable things about one another. The only problem is, they can't want each other.

During this journey, they have to keep their distance. If they don't, hurt and sorrow follow.
