Contained here are my submissions to complete the 12 Short Stories in 12 Months Challenge over at Deadlines For Writers (deadlinesforwriters.com). They generally fall under the urban fantasy genre and are shared here, as-is, without any editing, for posterity -- warts and all! This was my first year participating, and the first time I've ever written consistently and seriously over an extended period of time, so pardon the newbie mistakes. That said, I am grateful to Deadlines for Writers and its community, but most especially to Mia Botha, the site's creator and owner! Freedom from Within
This is my first attempt at writing a longer story. Here are few things about this novelette: - A novelette stands between a short story and a novella (7, 500- 17,500 words). - This story is not edited, so expect mistakes. - The story has explicit and mature contents. - As part of my "trademark," the story deals with love and loss. Expect drama! - The story is written in a nonlinear way. - I almost forgot; this is a lesbian story. If in any way you find it disgusting, you're free to bounce, yo! The future looks promising
This is a sequel to my other short story (the past hurts). It's about the groups first experiences in the adult world, they have turned 18. Trigger warning, some brief mention of rape, some brief mention of domestic violence. Bright Young Thing
She was bright, she was young and she had only met him once. She wasn't supposed to happen it was a mistake. She was kept from the world of hidden things until she was attacked by one. It was accidental she knew it was because it wasn't meant to be. She was suddenly thrown into a world of chaos and things that are supposed to only exist in fairytales. She was his daughter but they barely knew one another until they were thrown into the same path. ⚠️Warning⚠️ Mature themes, might have some triggering themes as well.
