In the 1960's, times were pretty rough. Mostly for Brenda Alfred, a fifteen year old greaser who lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Brenda has gone though a hard life at home and at school. She is an abused teenager and is bullied at school.
She has seven best friends, Ponyboy, Johnny, Dally, Steve, Soda, Darry, and Two-Bit. They go through the hard times together as a gang. They get jumped, bullied, and arrested a lot, but they still stick together as a gang. They never leave each other's side. Until one day, their lives are changed forever...

Darrel is stressed with work and taking care of his two brothers and was getting angry a lot recently. Sodapop felt disconnected and almost sick all of the time and was very tired of being a middleman to his brothers all the time. Ponyboy was struggling with his sexual orientation and was scared what others would say when he realised he had fallen in love with, not even a girl, but Johnny Cade. Really just me trauma-dumping onto all of the Curtis brothers and adding Darrel's anger issues to the mix.Complete
