"Cause I'm a real tough kid, I can handle my shit. They said babe you gotta fake it till you make it and I did. Lights camera bitch smile, even when you wanna die" ....... "Breaking down I hit the floor. All the pieces of me shattered as the crowd was chanting more. I was grinning like I'm winning, I was hitting my marks" ....... "Cause I can do it with a broken heart" ........ "I'm so depressed I act like it's my birthday....everyday. I cry a lot but I am so productive, it's an art" ........ "Cause I'm miserable. And no one even knows..." ...... All of this... it's all descriptions of Moranas life. Getting told that she was cursed as a child, getting discriminated, and then that lead to abandonment. Carrying all that sorrow, hatred, and misery with her. Maybe it was not just her heart that was broken, it was her whole world. Then she finds Camp Half Blood, where she tries to hind it all using anger and humor. That works for a while, but then this new kid, so called Percy Jackson shows up. And to put it literally, it all goes to shit

"In our History. The men have always been dominating the women. We have always been made weak and inferior. Always looked down. As if we created all the issues in the world. When in reality it was them. I'm so tired of our gender being their definition of weak. When in reality we are not equals. We are superior." Something registered in Alexis. Like everything Athena was saying was making sense. "Percy Jackson. Ask her the question you two were asked so long ago when you were saving your Satyr friend." Somehow I knew exactly what question she was referring to. I was still registering what was being said. I looked to Alexis. "Would you turn on Olympus?" She hesitated for a moment. Her eyes never left Athena's. "I'd burn it all down to the ground without hesitation." **** **** ***** I had a Quest. Save Percy Jackson. He can't leave the Underworld without my help. I had to go alone. To save Percy I knew what I had to do. I had to die.
