Maggie Stonem is the younger daughter and middle child of Anthea and Jim Stonem. She is also the younger sister of Tony and Effy. Her brother Tony saying goodbye forever remains ambiguous to the audience. Now, at nearly 15 years old, she in Bristol with her family. Her sister Effy who has accepted a job as the first day of college.

Maggie realize though is that she has a previously unknown connection to one of her classmates at her new school.
