In the old days, Valyria was one mightiest nation in the world, thanks to their precious metals, unmatched smithing, and powerful magic. So much so it was said the Valyrians were closer to gods than men, but this was because of their dragons. But what if they had another trick up their sleeve, one far more reliable?

When Valyria was still young, the ruling family of the most powerful kingdom at the time stepped down and willingly served them. This service continues past the Doom and into the forming of the great Valurian houses. Due to their sacrifice and loyalty to House Targaryen, House Pyralus was given power and authority equal to the other Valyrian houses. Throughout House Pyralus' history, one name has arisen during House Targaryen's most dire times to guide them to the future.
