THE DEGREE OF HAPPINESS

Elizha Hashmi has been struggling with studying for the longest time. Especially in chemistry. Which is a bummer for her, since she is one of the best students in class and she cannot, under any circumstances, look like a fool in front of her peers. She needs help, and her next-door-neighbor Soroush Hakeem is more than happy to do just that.

But Elizha is too proud to get help. Especially from Soroush Hakeem. He may be her first crush, but his father is also the reason why Elizha and her mother moved from a great life in the UK back to their home country. And Soroush Hakeem loves his father to his core, something that makes Elizha want to punch her first crush and the elder brother of her first friend. At the same time, she is confused about her lingering crush on him, especially because he always goes out of his way to help her.

And her darling friends make it even worse by constantly shipping those two together with #eroush. Bummer, right?

But despite the confusing feelings, Elizha needs Soroush, as he helps her navigate her mental battles and also grows her connection with her faith.....and himself. Soroush also needs Elizha Hashmi too. For there are four levels of happiness discovered by the philosopher Aristotle and they both could very well be each other's Sublime Beautitudo (Ultimate Happiness).

Or, they could very well end up being each other's ultimate destruction by letting their family and stubborness come first.
