This novel came about from an idea about what would happen if the "Hero" did not want to be a hero anymore. Not like a reluctant hero but a dismissive one, a hero who believes the world would have been better without him. That he was just a waste of space. What happens when the "Hero" gets PTSD from an avoidable war that might have started?

Elijah Walsh is the culmination of that thought. He is a downtrodden and grizzled man who wishes to live the rest of his life alone and away from those he harmed. However, this peace is broken by a pact between himself and those he once called family. Does he fulfill his purpose and continue fighting for the greater good, or does he submit to defeat and resign from life and purpose? Or does the feeling of greater meaning drive him to a future far greater than what he could have perceived?

He will meet some new friends and lose old ones, but his destiny is that only for which he can decide, and he needs to determine whether his desires are worth fighting for or losing in the battle for peace.

Empress of Fire

14 parts Complete

Lian snuck out of the imperial palace and exposed the village healer to be a fraud and a devil-worshipper. Cursed by the spurned fire god, Huogwai, and disgraced and cast out by the royal family, Lian set out with her manservant Emiru to the kingdom of fire to rid her of the curse of uncontrollable flames for a chance to regain her claim to the throne. But being a fire disciple meant she was a practitioner of the forbidden arts. For those that hunt her kind, the game had just started.
