My poem 'Free of You' reflects on a past toxic relationship of coercive, emotional and controlling/ manipulative abuse. 

It begins by exploring the vulnerable state of being under the control of the abuser, then journeying into a path of resilience and finally, setting myself free of the pain of the past.

If anyone has ever dealt with a toxic relationship with a partner who does not value or appreciate their kindness, yet instead takes it in vain, then know that there is a way out, and it does get better.
