Osamu Dazai's life has been nothing short from a numbing experience. His life was carefully picked apart by his 'beautiful' father, Mori. Mori's forbiddance for Dazai to exist as something other than a glimpse of perfection sent Dazai into a spiral of his own apathy and putrid ignorance to his real 'emotions'. If he could even call them that. It was laughable, really.
While picking up an odd job after being fired from the last one for being caught in sexual relations with another staff member during working hours, Dazai meets one of the most sickeningly annoying people he's ever known. Chuuya Nakahara. How could he be so determined while working at a convenience store? Dazai didn't understand. But maybe he didn't need to.

Honestly, I just wanted to escape the crushing ache and overflowing tears that come with unbearable pain. Roaming in an unfamiliar world with familiar faces isn't as easy as you may think, especially when you're trying to blend in and act normal to convince insanely smart people that you're one of them. Because of his ability he was alone, isolated, and considered a monster in most circles. Joining the Port Mafia did not help those feelings at all. After the death of his best friend, and turning over a new leaf and walking into the light he is still haunted by both his past and his own mind.
