Nito Takuma traversed back to his hometown of Beletrie Island away from the bustling city, reeking with frustration and burnout from all the work and labor he had to do in his school as the class president, without anyone noticing his 'Magic'. Throwing out the acceptance letter to a prestigious school, he entered the crumbling Chanpuru High School with a sense of solitude, and with his written- now printed novel, he slacked off for a moment. "It's finally finished..." he said, as he was lost in the island's beauty. Luckily for him, before he could dissolve along with the sea breeze, a dozen sprites leaked out from him and transformed into birdlings, waking him up as he heard his grandma's voice, "Surely...your novel, your magic could change the world, my little Nito." ~~~ An experiment to keep myself writing and a bite-sized pieces of my next project Mukashimukashi, consists of 50 words per chapter, if you find this story and/or this format entertaining I will be very delighted and try to bring more in the future! Cover credits goes to Odilon Redon, modified with Canva, his painting is really beautiful!

"You know, my favorite color wasn't always red." Kirishima said to me while we sat outside on the fire escape. We were looking at the sunset. The sky was full of beautiful, bright reds and oranges. "What? Really? What was it? I asked out of curiosity, "It was actually silver at one point." "Silver? You don't seem like a silver kind of person." "Yeah. Silver. One day in middle school, I picked up something silver and tried to color with it. Every time I tried, it turned red. I eventually learned to love red more than anything in the world and wanted nothing more than to see it roll down my wrists." He said. It didn't take me long to realize what he was talking about.
