In "Leyla's Rock", the story follows Harun, a modest miner, who discovers a strange, shining rock in the mines of Anatolia. Enchanted by its beauty, his daughter Leyla adds it to her collection of stones. A spoon maker, intrigued by the rock, proposes an exchange for three spoons, then transforms it into a magnificent jewel. This jewel ends up in the hands of the vizier Ali Pasha, before being confiscated by the Sultan. Today exhibited at the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul, the rock recalls the extraordinary journey of ordinary objects becoming historical treasures.
