When people are born, they're all given a number indicating how much power they will possess in their lifetime. The numbers are on a scale of one to a hundred, one being the most powerful. But, there hasn't been a one spotted since the Pixl Queen. Ones are seen as dangerous because of their potential and are to be killed at birth to prevent future tragedies. Not that many had been born. In fact, it's extremely rare to get any numbers below ten. A young Blumiere lives in a dark tribe in this dark world. Labeled as a number six, he is the most powerful being born as far as everyone knows. But what happens when he finds himself in the presence of a One? A tale about friendship. About finding light and love in a world where that doesn't seem apparent. About lasting bonds and about broken bridges. Join us, as One shines a flashlight into the darkness. Follow Blumiere as he follows One in his quest to bring back the sun. AN: For once, this is NOT a ship story. I want to be clear, it is NOT a BlumierexOne story in any way. It is purely a story about friendship and the bond between two children. This story takes place before SPM. It's an alternate Universe where things used to be a lot darker, so it's by no means canon to either game. The universe is heavily based on Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares 2, however, though some names are the same, none of those characters from that game are in this. This story is a mixture of both, taking characters from Super Paper Mario and putting them into a universe similar to Little Nightmares. Please Enjoy! (Art at the top of chapters isn't mine)

After so many years after the events of Super Paper Mario, life seems to have settled down in more ways than one. The former villains now settling down in homes! Working for shops and starting businesses even! Mr.L and Dimentio have been kept locked up in The Underwhere, but neither of them care to try and escape. But where does the problem start? In Blumiere and Timpani's very own bloodline. Blumiere and Timpani are together in the place they dreamed of. They've been there for years and they eventually decide to have a child. Timpani gives birth to a baby boy, but he's not all that healthy... Their son runs away from home in search of a cure for himself. Blumiere and Timpani seek out help from others, even in unlikely places. What happens when Dimentio refuses Blumiere's offer, but Dimentio's son accepts? And so, a whole new generation of adventures begin for a whole new generation of heroes and villains. (Contains BlumiereXTimpani, Mr.LXDimentio, MarioXPeach, LuigiXDaisy, all that stuff, and they have kids. Tensions are high, and all throughout the universes, everyone is feeling the effects of Count Bleck's plans to fulfill the Dark Prognostics and destroy every Universe. No one is exempt from this. Our heroes aren't, of course, as they try and stop Count Bleck's plans, but not even Bleck's minions who work against them are safe from their own thoughts during these dark times. This is a collection of these thoughts; their worries, scheming, and challenges, all presented from their own point of view in their own stories. I (obviously) do not own any characters in this story, and do not claim to. This story does not intend to present itself as canon, and although it aligns with the main story of Super Paper Mario, some smaller details might have been changed for the sake of story telling. I wrote this after realizing how much more fleshed out Mr. L could have been, so these changes have been made simply to fit my version of the narrative or flesh out the characters.

With Timpani gone from his life, Bleck finds little to no joy in Christmas, and he won't tolerate anyone else celebrating it under his roof.
