During a period of weakness for ShadowClan, a band of five rogues ask to join, and are accepted, with the sick clan eager to have a few extra paws. But everything goes wrong, and ShadowClan suddenly becomes strong force under a conflicted dictator, looking to expand, and the entire clan system is under threat.
Leafshadow, a young warrior, is suddenly forced to choose between her friends and her safety, to recognise that not all cats fit into nice, tidy boxes, and to step up and try and make things right.
